SHERMAN COUNTY — One person died in an accident just before 6:30p.m. Tuesday in Sherman County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2011 Kenworth semi driven by Richard H. Steed, 42, Afton, OH., was northbound on Kansas 27 ten miles north of Goodland.
The semi traveled left of center and collided with a 2007 Chevy Uplander driven by Shirley A. Barnhart, 75, Goodland, and tipped over onto its passenger side in the west ditch.
EMS transported Steed and Barnhart to the hospital in Goodland where she died.
Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
