The National Weather Service in Dodge City is predicting the gusty winds will continue into the afternoon and early evening.
Gusts up to 40 mph were expected this morning, tapering off until dropping to 10 mph after 6 p.m.
Forecasters are calling for a moderate remainder of the week, with mostly clear skies and high temperatures ranging from the high 40s to the mid- to upper 50s Tuesday through Saturday.
