Ernest Glenn “Ernie” Pfeifer, 76, La Crosse, Kansas, died Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at Locust Grove Village, La Crosse, Kansas.
Mr. Pfeifer was born November 27, 1943, in La Crosse, Kansas, the son of Albert Frank and Ida (Schaffer) Pfeifer. He was a 10 year resident of Rush County, Kansas, moving there from Wichita, Kansas. He was a machinist in the aircraft industry before his retirement.
He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Liebenthal, Kansas.
He was a United States Army veteran.
Survivors include: one brother, Robert Lee Pfeifer, Liebenthal, Kansas; and two sisters, Judy Mae Hoffman, Liebenthal, Kansas, and Sister Alice Ann Pfeifer, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Timothy Bruce Pfeifer; one infant brother, Robert Dean Pfeifer; and one sister, Rosalee Pfeifer.
Per Ernie’s wishes, the family has chosen cremation.
Church visitation will be Wednesday, December 11, 2019, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Liebenthal, Kansas, with the family receiving friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.
Memorial service will be Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Liebenthal, Kansas, with Father Stephen Dabanka officiating.
Inurnment will be Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. in the La Crosse City Cemetery, La Crosse, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family request memorials to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Steeple Fund, Liebenthal, Kansas, or masses.
