David Hook, age 59, of Hays, Kansas passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Hays Medical Center.
He was born June 10, 1960 in Freeport, Illinois to Wallace Reed and Joyce Annette (Wilkerson) Hook. On July 16, 1983 he married Janell (Phillips).
Dave was the Manager for Western Metal Company in Hays for the past 21 years and prior to that had worked for Western Metal Company in Louisburg, Kansas. Dave was a lifetime member of the Sons of the VFW, a member of Ellis Golf Club where he was very active in the Men’s Association. Dave enjoyed hunting, casino trips and being with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Janell of Hays; a son, Daniel Hook and wife Nicole; two daughters, Sammy Hook and Randi Hook and fiancé Chelsey Wessel all of Ellis; a brother, Jim Hook of Cleveland, MO; three sisters, Sharon Feden and husband Vince of Overland Park, KS, Sue Stice and husband Jim of Benson, AZ and Becky Stewart and husband Bill of Overland Park, KS as well as six grandchildren, Keiara, Logan and Keila Hook, Elizabeth, Madison and Isabella Deutscher.
He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Doana Hook.
A celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Hays VFW Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 2 PM - 4 PM. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the Ellis Golf Club Men’s Association.
