RAWLINS COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in Rawlins County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2014 BMW driven by Nathan Daniel Schmidt, 32, Atwood, was southbound on Kansas 25 one mile south of Atwood when it hit a cow and traveled into the east ditch.
EMS transported Schmidt to Rawlins County Health Center.
He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
