Bernard Leo Corcoran

Bernard Leo Corcoran, 80, passed away on November 18, 2019 at the Andbe Home in Norton, KS. Bernard was born on January 12, 1939 to William and Helen (Traxler) Corcoran in Oberlin, KS and was raised on the family farm southwest of Oberlin.


Bernard was a farmer and a rancher, and he really enjoyed wood working, hunting, and his horses. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oberlin. On July 5, 1969 he married Marlena Elling and together they had four children; Chris, Sharon, Brian, and Becky.


Bernard is survived by his sons: Chris and wife Janice Corcoran of Fort Collins, CO and Brian Corcoran of Hays, KS; daughters: Sharon Corcoran of Goodland, KS and Becky and husband Justin Graham of Norton, KS; brothers: Raymond Corcoran of Oberlin, KS, Robert Corcoran of Pittsburg, PA, and Paul Corcoran of Oberlin, KS; sister: Frances Nothdruft of Gillette, WY; also surviving are 4 granddaughters, a great grandson, and many nieces and nephews.


Bernard was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Bruce Corcoran and Don Corcoran and sister, Barbara Mitchell.
