SHERMAN COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just after 4p.m. Saturday in Sherman County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Dodge Charger driven by 32-year-old Jose A. Flores Rodriguez was eastbound on Interstate 70 just east of County Road 3.
The driver lost control on the ice. The car entered the median, struck a dirt cross over and rolled numerous times. The front passenger and backseat passenger were ejected.
EMS transported 31-year-old Aurturo Lugo to the hospital in Goodland and 24-year-old Willian Escalona to the hospital in Burlington, Colorado. Flores Rodriguez was not injured. The two passenger were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP. The KHP did not release details on the hometowns of those involved.
