NORTON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 11:30a.m. Saturday in Norton County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2024 Expedition driven by Colleen M. Storm, 53, David City, Nebraska, was northbound on Kansas 383 approximately two and one half miles north of U.S. 36. The SUV struck a patch of ice. The driver lost control of the vehicle and it started to spin. The SUV entered the north ditch, rolled, and came to rest on its wheels facing southwest.
EMS transported an 11-year-old male passenger to the Norton County Hospital. The driver and three teen passengers were not injured. The 11-year-old and a 17-year-old passenger were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
