THOMAS COUNTY—A man from Indiana was injured in an accident just before 2:30p.m. Saturday in Thomas County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Timothy A. McCoy, 56, Dana, Indiana, was northbound on U.S. 83 just south of mile marker 137.
The motorcycle traveled off the right side of the road into the east ditch. It struck a Do Not Pass sign, flipped and skidded. McCoy landed in the ditch 20 feet southeast of the motorcycle.
EMS transported McCoy to the Logan County Hospital. He was wearing a helmet, according to the KHP.
