Midwest Energy is now hiring for a System Operator for our office in Hays, Kan.
System Operators monitor the status of the electric generation, transmission, and distribution systems. They work with field personnel to coordinate switching operations, and to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the electric system.
An Associate Degree in Electrical Transmission Systems Technology, Business or a related field is required. Previous work experience at an electric utility company in line construction, power plant operation, utility equipment maintenance, power purchasing, or system operations is preferred. The successful candidate will have experience with spreadsheets and database applications. The position involves rotating shift work, with some overtime required.
