A Plainville man arrested earlier this month for alleged rape and indecent liberties with two children has been released on bond to Ellis County as of Monday.
Devon M. Freeman, 30, of Plainville was arrested on Sept. 11 by the Plainville Police Department.
He is being charged with alleged rape, two counts of sodomy, two counts of indecent liberties with a child, two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child and three counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor, according to court records.
According to court records, the alleged incidents happened in Rooks County and allegedly involved two youths at least 14 but less than 16 years of age.
The first alleged incident happened on Nov. 1, 2025, and the a second alleged incident happened on Nov. 8, 2025. A third incident alleged incident happened on Nov. 22, 2025, according to court records.
All three allegedly alleged incidents involved some type of sexual behavior with the minors and the complaint alleges Freeman gave the minor victims alcohol, according to court records.
Freeman was released on $100,000 bond, according to court records. On his bond sheet, he was listed as being released to his father's residence in Ellis County.
The case is supposed to back in court at 11 am. Oct. 19 for a status conference.
