A preliminary plat for Fairview Patch Addition was approved by the Ellis County Joint Planning Commission on Thursday.
The addition is in northeast Ellis County, north of Severin Road and 400th Avenue. The address is 2367 400th Ave.
Property owners Charlotte David and Jessica Dockendorf presented their proposal to the commissioners, which involves dividing about 50.5 acres into 13 lots connected by a private internal road system.
David and Dockendorf said they anticipate that all 13 lots will be developed within five years, with road maintenance to be privately managed.
The commission approved the preliminary plat, which will be forwarded to the Ellis County Commission for review on May 6.
The planning commission also reviewed excavation photos for a potential septic system. Water and electricity utilities are available along 400th Avenue.
