Christopher Thomas “Chris” Ault, 67, McCracken, Kansas, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022, at his home.
Chris was born Oct. 21, 1954, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the son of Thomas J. and Mary Jo (Christensen) Ault. He was a resident of McCracken, since 2011, moving there from Hernando, Fla. A 1973 graduate of Berkmar High School, Lilburn, Ga., he was a gas technician in the petroleum industry before his retirement.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, McCracken. Chris was the former mayor for eight years of McCracken.
On Jan. 7, 2001, he married Alice “Ali” Ault at St. Petersburg, Fla.
Survivors include: his wife, Alice “Ali” Ault, McCracken; his father, Thomas J. Ault, Jefferson City, Mo.; one son, Zachary Ault, St. Petersburg, Fla.; one stepdaughter, Angela Willoughy (Grant), Denver; and one brother, Michael Ault (Susan), Hayesville, N.C.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jo Ault; and his step mother, Paulette J. Ault.
Per Chris’ wishes, the family has chosen cremation. A Celebration of Life service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the United Methodist Church, McCracken, with Pastor Norma McNair officiating.
Memorials are suggested to Alice “Ali” Ault to assist with final expenses.
