Larry James Schuckman Sr., 82, La Crosse, Kansas, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021, at Locust Grove Village, La Crosse, Kansas.
Larry was born December 4, 1938, in rural Rush County, Kansas, the son of Daniel and Rose (Schafer) Schuckman. He was a resident of La Crosse, Kansas, for 15 years, moving from Round Rock, Texas. He was a sales person in the auto industry before his retirement.
He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, La Crosse, Kansas.
Larry loved cars and anything to do with cars, especially classic cars. He was a member of the National Hot Rod Association.
Survivors include: two grandchildren, Jake Schuckman, and Amanda Schuckman; four great grandchildren, Zavrina, Kylie, Luke, and Alina; one brother, Randy Schuckman, Sedona, Arizona; and four sisters, Alverna Schaffer, La Crosse, Kansas, Mary Lou Schaffer, La Crosse, Kansas, Marjorie Schaffer, Wichita, Kansas, and Danelle Peters, La Crosse, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Larry James Schuckman, Jr.; one brother, Willard Schuckman; and one sister, Ilene Schaffer.
Church visitation will be Monday, December 6, 2021, from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, La Crosse, Kansas, with the family receiving friends from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. A rosary will be at 10:00 A.M.
Memorial service will be Monday, December 6, 2021, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, La Crosse, Kansas, with Father Stephen Dabanka officiating. Inurnment will be in the La Crosse City Cemetery, La Crosse, Kansas.
