Joseph 'Joe' Manning Burnham

Joseph “Joe” Manning Burnham, 61, passed away September 9, 2021 at his home in Garfield.

He was born May 5, 1960 in Wichita Falls, Texas, the son of Robert John Burnham Jr and Ann Barry Burnham.

An area resident since 1993, he moved from St. Louis, Missouri where he was a graduate of Oakville Senior High School. He worked in hospitality and was a member of the VFW Men’s Auxiliary. He was an avid collector of various things and enjoyed gardening and reading books.

Survivors include: eight siblings, Mary Ann Burnham, St. Louis, Missouri, Helen Skinner, Arizona, Danny Burnham, Graham, Texas, Susan Smith, Denton, Texas, Tommy Burnham, St. Louis, Missouri, Robert J. Burnham III, St. Louis, Missouri, Joan Dickerson, Chesterfield, Missouri, David Burnham, Ballwin, Missouri; niece and guardian Ann Marie Albright, Pacific, Missouri, and a host of other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his life partner, Theron Ware who passed December 14, 2008.

Joe will be laid to rest with his partner Theron Ware in the Garfield Cemetery, Garfield, Kansas.

A celebration of life will be 1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the Breakroom Bar, 423 Broadway, Larned, Kansas 67550. A celebration of life in St. Louis, Missouri will be announced at a later date.
