4 hospitalized after NW Kansas SUV rollver accident

LOGAN COUNTY—Four people were injured in an accident just after 1:30p.m. Tuesday in Logan County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Dodge Journey driven by  Emily S Newman, 18, Salina, was westbound on U.S. 40 eight miles west of Winona.

The SUV traveled off the road into the north ditch. The driver overcorrected back onto the roadway and the vehicle began to slide sideways.  It slid into the north ditch and rolled onto the driver's side.

EMS transported Newman and passengers Jacob M. Newman, 20; Melissa S. Newman, 46; and Timothy A. Newman, 55, all of Salina to the Logan County Hospital. All four were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
