The Ellis County Health Department on Wednesday announced 19 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county.
There are currently 162 active cases of coronavirus in Ellis County, including eight active hospitalizations, and 548 recovered cases.
The seven-day percent of positive tests rose slightly to 16.1 percent after several days of declining. Overall, 700 of the 5,423 total tests have returned positive for COVID-19, or 12.7 percent.
Since reporting began, the department has reported 713 cases of COVID-19, including three deaths.
