⛳ Plainville's Marquess in 2nd place at 3-2-1A State

CHENEY, Kan. – Plainville sophomore Corbyn Marquess fired a 9-over-par 81 and sits in second place after the first round of the 3-2-1A State Golf Tournament at the Cherry Oaks Golf Course in Cheney. Marquess is four shots back of Colby freshman Anna Starbuck who shot a 5-over-par 77.

TMP-Marian’s Allison Applequist shot an opening round 98 and is part of a four-way tie for 17th place. Monarch freshman Amelia Herrman shot a 127.

Pittsburg-St. Mary’s Colgan leads the team standings after a 357. Colby is in second place at 375. Cimarron is third with a  388.

The second and final round is Tuesday.
