UPDATE 4:20 p.m. Monday: I-70 reopened

The Kansas Department of Transportation has closed westbound I-70 at Hays because of continued winter weather conditions in Colorado. Motorists traveling west are advised to use alternate routes or delay travel if possible.
In addition, U.S. 36 has been closed to westbound traffic at St. Francis, KDOT reported.
