🏀TMP boys land three on All MCL teams

The TMP-Marian Monarchs boys basketball team had three players named to the All Mid-Continent League team on Tuesday.

TMP’s Dylan Werth and Kade Harris were among five seniors named to the first-team.

Werth averaged 17 points and nine rebounds, scoring in double-figures in 25-of-26 and recorded 12 double-doubles.

Harris averaged 8.5 points, five rebounds, 4.4 assists and two steals for the Monarchs.

Hoxie’s Miles Baalman, Hill City’s Trent Long and Oakley’s Will Schmidt were all named to the first-team.

Russell’s Jackson Cross and Jordayn Buhrle were named to the second-team. Norton’s Eli Jones and Roman Hauser were also second-team selections with Trego’s Owen Day.

TMP’s Luke Rome was a third-team pick. Rome averaged 10 points and six rebounds.

He was joined on the third team by Hoxie’s Brady Jones, Rad Rodriguez from Phillipsburg, Plainville’s Carter Cellmer and Hill City’s Jaden Nuss.

Trego’s Nolan Kinderknecht and Gunner Wilson were honorable mentions selections along with Oakley’s Brayden Cunningham, Carson North from Ellis and Phillipsburg’s Jesse Blackburn.

TMP won the league and MCL tournament for a second straight season.
