Wesley Rollins Higby was born December 16, 1941, in Wichita, KS to James
& Grace (Bachelder) Higby and passed away on January 23, 2022, in
Smith Center, KS.
Wes graduated in 1959 out of Smith Center, KS. After graduation
Wesley went to help his grandparents in TX. He joined the National
Guards in 1963 and served until 1966. Wesley married Patricia Crawford
August 13, 1964. Wesley also helped with the service station at Olson's
in Red Cloud, NE and ran the Phillips 66 in Smith Center. Patricia Higby
passed away on January 15, 1977. Wesley married Freda Trimmer on May
26, 1978, they later divorced. Wesley than met Dianne McPherson in 1991
and they relocated to Pawnee Rock for a job. They moved back to Lebanon,
KS in 1993 to help his parents on the farm. Wesley and Dianne married
on May 23, 1993.
Wesley is survived by his wife Dianne of the home; son Jeff Higby of
WV; daughter Teresa Mohler and partner Joel White of Lebanon; daughter
Tina Jones of Red Cloud, NE; daughter Michelle and Brad Von Feldt of
Great Bend, KS; stepson James & Shelly Corp of Alta Vista, KS; step
daughter Toni Barker of Wichita, KS; son Curtis & Virgine Higby of
Rexford, KS; daughter Nellie Cloke and partner Isaac Salazar of
Hutchinson, KS; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren,
brother Gary & Carolyn Higby of Custer, WA; sister Nellie &
LeRoy Quade of Salina, KS; brother Clinton Higby of Salina, KS; sister
Georgia Lytle of Salina, KS.
He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Patricia, second
wife Freda, brother-in-law Kenny Lytle, sister-in-law Mary Ellen Higby,
nephew Andrew Higby, step-daughter Trisha Robin Davisson and 5
great-grandchildren.
