🤼‍♂️ No. 5 Bronchos defeat Tigers in Oklahoma

EDMOND, Okla. - The Fort Hays State men's wrestling team dropped its second-straight conference dual to a ranked opponent Sunday, losing at No. 5 Central Oklahoma 42-6. The Tigers are now 5-5 on the year and 2-2 in MIAA duals, while the Bronchos improve to 10-1 overall and 3-0 in conference action.

The Bronchos raced out to a big lead, winning at the first six weights to build a 34-point lead. A pair of takedowns allowed Connor Padgett to secure a 7-6 decision at 174 pounds before a third-period takedown gave Riah Ostrander a 4-1 decision at 285 pounds. Central Oklahoma finished the day with eight bonus-point wins.

Fort Hays State will wrap up its dual schedule with a Valentine's date at No. 4 Nebraska-Kearney on Friday, February 14 beginning at 7 p.m. before entering the postseason with the Super Region VI Championships on Saturday, March 1 in Gunnison, Colo.
