HAYS, Kan. - Due to lingering effects from last weekend's major winter storm, the Fort Hays State baseball team has adjusted its schedule for the opening weekend of the 2026 season.
Instead of traveling to Arkansas for the Mike Dugan Collegiate Baseball Invitational, the Tigers will instead travel west to take on the University of Colorado Colorado Springs on the road. The three-game series will be played on Friday at 2 p.m. (1 p.m. MT), Saturday at 1 p.m. (noon MT) and Sunday at noon (11 a.m. MT).
The Tigers were picked sixth in last week's MIAA Preseason Coaches Poll, while the Mountain Lions are slotted fourth in the RMAC Preseason Coaches Poll.
