Juvenile dies after rear-end crash in NW Kansas

THOMAS COUNTY —A juvenile died in an accident just before 7p.m. Friday in Thomas County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Mazda Touring driven by a juvenile was eastbound on U.S. 24 at County Road 24. 

The car rear-ended a 1998 Peterbilt semi driven by Musick, Randall Lynn Musick, 69, Grant, Nebraska, was stopped attempting to make a left turn onto County Road 24. 

The juvenile, who was not wearing a seat belt, died from injuries in the accident, according to the KHP.   Musick was not injured. The KHP released no additional information.
