News release
Mark your calendars and plan to attend the “WaterSmart Environmental Tour” on Tuesday, April 25, at 5:30 p.m. in Hays. Come see where the water comes into our community, how it is treated, how it leaves our community, and how it is recycled for beneficial uses to water the golf course and ball parks.
Take the tour in air conditioned buses while learning how locals are conserving, protecting, and improving our community’s water supply in the Hays area.
Educational stops include: Drinking Water Treatment Plant; Contamination Treatment Units – Pack Tower & Pre-Treatment; Water Reclamation & Reuse Facility; and Pleasant View Farms, LLC.
Attendees will see first hand the processes used on a daily basis to protect our water.
Dinner will be provided to all attending.
Plan to join us on Tuesday, April 25th, at 5:30 p.m. (5:15 p.m. registration and load buses at FHSU Gross Memorial Coliseum, north side).
