
Tom “Roadie” Rodriguez, 82, died Sunday, March 6, 2022, at his home in Spearville, Kansas.
He was born on March 7, 1939, in Ness City, Kansas, the son of Ramon Gregory and Charlotte (Rocha) Rodriguez. He was a local resident moving to the country near Spearville in 1996. He attended high school in Ness City and was a very good football player and continued his love for football by supporting the Rams. Tom was also an avid KU Basketball fan and let everyone know it. He stood firm on his Catholic faith. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed doing archery, deer hunting and fishing. He loved living in the country and having his animals, especially his dogs and cats.
On November 15, 1958, he married Roberta Davenport at Sacred Heart in Dodge City, Kansas. She survives.
Survivors also include: 2 sons, Tom Rodriguez and wife Melissa and Robert “Bob” Rodriguez and wife Angie both of Dodge City, Kansas; and one daughter, Yvonne Clemons, Dodge City, Kansas; 11 Grandchildren; and many great, and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Shane Clemons.
There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Friday, March 18, 2022, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm with the family present at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, Kansas.
