Robyn E. 'Bobbi' Pfeifer

Robyn E. “Bobbi” Pfeifer, 54, Hays, died Saturday, December 11, 2021, at HaysMed surrounded by her family.

She was born January 12, 1967, in Kinsley, the daughter of John and Roseann “Rose” (Arnhold) Rincon.  She was a 1985 graduate of Pamona High School and attended Fort Hays State University.  On July 15, 1995, she was united in marriage to Jay Pfeifer in Hays, and they celebrated 26 years of marriage.  She loved her job as the Administrative Assistant for the Hays Convention and Visitors Bureau.  Bobbi had a heart for helping others, loved everybody, and was actively involved with Special Olympics, receiving the Bob Magerl Outstanding Volunteer Award in 2017.  She volunteered at TMP-Marian High School as co-chair of the Ace Auction, chair of the PTF, and was on the Advisory Council and Sports Booster Club.  She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, the Hays VFW Post #9076 Auxiliary, Hays American Legion Post #173 Auxiliary, and a past Soroptimist Club member.  Bobbi loved her dogs, the outdoors, and taking long walks.  She enjoyed watching Love Boat, Fantasy Island, and HGTV.  Her children brought her joy and she always looked forward to planning and taking family vacations. 

Survivors include her husband Jay of Hays, son: Weston Pfeifer of Hays, daughter: Janessa Pfeifer of Hays, father: John Rincon and wife Jacki of Lakewood, CO, mother: Rose Pfannenstiel of Hays, sister: Becky Staab of Hays, half-brother: Travis Rincon of Lakewood, CO, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Juan and Christina Rincon and Lawrence and Martina Arnhold, and her stepfather: Robert J. “Bob” Pfannenstiel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, with Fr. Elias Chinzara officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 on Thursday and from 9:00 am until 9:45 on Friday, all at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.  A VFW Auxiliary rosary will be at 5:30 pm followed by a vigil service at 6:00 pm, all on Thursday at the funeral home.
