Another area of north Hays will be a step closer to potential development with the proposed construction of sanitary sewer and water main improvements along 55th Street east of 230th Avenue, and water improvements at 58th Street and 230th Avenue.
City commissioners will hear more about the project and utilities bid award during their work session Thursday afternoon.
The project is in conjunction with Kenny Doonan, the majority property owner in the area, as per a January 2022 annexation agreement of the Doonan Peterbilt property and other tracts of land at the northeast corner of Interstate 70 Exit 157 .
Collin Bielser, deputy city manager, has details, plus a look at the other agenda items for the January 19 meeting.
The work session begins at 4 p.m. Thursday in Hays City Hall, 1507 Main.
