HAYS, Kan. – Fort Hays State had five players named to the D2CCA Men's Soccer All-Central Region Team for 2024. First-team honors went to Elias Ovelar Semeniuk (F), Tadhg Walsh (MF), and Marcos German (D). Second-team selections were Bryce Dickerson (MF) and Jeremiah Johnson (D).
Semeniuk finished the season as the team leader in goals scored with nine. He had 21 points for the season, adding three assists to his goal total. Semeniuk was an All-GAC First Team selection this season and is now a two-time all-conference selection overall. He led the team in shots on goal (22) and game-winning goals (4). He is now a two-time D2CCA All-Central Region selection after a second-team pick last year.
Walsh finished the year with 25 points to lead Fort Hays State. He set a new single-season record at FHSU for assists with 15. He entered the NCAA Tournament tied for the national lead in assists with Frederic Benedix of Coker University. Walsh added five goals to his 15 assists for the season. He was an All-GAC First Team selection for the second-straight year and is now a three-time all-conference selection overall. This is the second-straight year Walsh was named to the D2CCA All-Central Region First Team.
German completed the 2024 season with 17 points, producing four goals and nine assists. He led the team in shots with 48, while playing the fourth-most minutes on the team (1,541). German was an All-GAC First Team selection at defender.
Dickerson finished the year with 11 points as a midfielder, notching three goals and five assists. He played the second-most minutes on the team with 1,641, while attempting 41 shots. He was a second-team selection on the All-GAC team this year as well.
Johnson was a strong addition for the Tigers this year at defender, providing 13 points with five goals and three assists. He ranked third on the team in minutes played with 1,618. Johnson was an All-GAC Second Team selection as a defender to go with the all-region second team selection.
