Lucida "Luci" Agnes (Walters) Sullivan, age 78, of Olathe, Kansas passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021.
Luci was born on January 22, 1943, in Hays, KS to Celestina Hertel and Fidelis A. Walters. She graduated from Girls Catholic High in 1961. Then attended Fort Hays State University, earning a B.S. in elementary education in 1966.
She married Terrence Sullivan on June 4, 1966, and moved to Pittsburg, Kansas, in 1970. After retiring in 2008, she moved to Olathe, Kansas, where she enjoyed being close to her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Jill M. Ney (Jeff) of Overland Park, Kansas; two sons, Jeffrey A. Sullivan (Amanda) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; and Ryan J. Sullivan (Melissa) of Falcon, Colorado; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Erma, and one daughter Carrie.
Visitation will be from 10:00 - 10:45 am on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 21650 W. 115th Terrace, Olathe, Kansas. Rosary will follow at 10:45, then Mass at 11:00 with Fr. Michael Hermes as celebrant. Luci's remains will be interred at Leavenworth National Cemetery at a later date in a private ceremony.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Memorial Fund or to Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Fund.
