The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin a field survey on June 28 for a proposed guardrail replacement project along portions of U.S. 36 in Phillips County.

Crews will be surveying various locations between Phillipsburg and Agra. Survey activities include the use of survey instruments on the ground to determine locations of existing features within the survey corridor. KDOT expects work to be complete by July 23.

Crews will contact property owners or tenants for permission to enter private property if access is needed. Michael Selley, field survey project manager, will oversee the survey for KDOT.

Persons with questions may contact KDOT public affairs manager Lisa Mussman at 785-874-8107 or [email protected].
