KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Fort Hays State Men's Soccer is receiving votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top 25, released on Tuesday. The Tigers dropped from the Top 25 following a loss to Harding this past Saturday, but sit just outside the rankings among seven teams receiving votes. The Tigers are 5-3-1 overall.
The Tigers will challenge their record against Top 25 teams again this week when they travel to Southern Nazarene on Saturday. The Crimson Storm entered the Top 25 for the first time in the program's NCAA Division II history last week at No. 24 and moved up to No. 20 this week, holding a record of 6-3 overall. Fort Hays State is 2-0-1 against Top 25 ranked teams so far this season.
The Tigers also have a challenging match at Northeastern State on Thursday before playing SNU. Northeastern State joins FHSU in the list of teams receiving votes this week. The teams have had a competitive history against each other with FHSU holding an 11-9-5 advantage in the series history.
