OKLAHOMA CITY – Fort Hays State had two student-athletes receive GAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week honors on Tuesday. Kuan-Yi Li was named the Defensive Player of the Week, while Payton Roehrich received Goalkeeper of the Week for the fifth time this season. Overall, the Tigers have collected eight player of the week honors this season.

Li provided two assists for the week in addition to helping the Tigers to a pair of shutouts on the road. Li collected both of his assists on throw-ins in the win over Newman, connecting with Mario Leal Vales both times. The opposition averaged just 9.5 shots per match and the Tigers allowed just 2.5 shots on goal per match for the week. Li is the first Tiger to receive the Defensive Player of the Week honor this season.

Roehrich helped the Tigers to another pair of shutouts this week while making five saves. He recorded four saves in the 3-0 shutout against Northeastern State, playing all 90 minutes. He played the first 74 minutes of the match with Newman and made one save in a 4-0 win. Roehrich has four individual shutouts this year, and four combined shutouts in games where he came out late with the team holding substantial leads. Roehrich has now claimed the Goalkeeper of the Week honor five times this season (Sept. 8, 22, 29, Oct. 13, 20) and seven times overall in his career.

Li and Roehrich joined Andrew Castellanos of Ouachita Baptist (Offensive Player of the Week) as the weekly honorees from the conference office.
