The Fort Hays State women's basketball team is ranked 22nd in the latest WBCA Division II Coaches Poll and is receiving votes in the latest D2CSC National Media Poll, released Tuesday (Nov. 28). It is the first time the Tigers have cracked the top 25 this season after FHSU was receiving votes in last week's WBCA poll.

The Tigers are 4-0 so far this season, one of 26 remaining undefeated teams in NCAA Division II. This is the 95th weekly poll that the Tigers have been mentioned in during the DII era, but it is the first time the Tigers have ever been slotted 22nd. Fort Hays State is 145-38 all-time when listed inside the WBCA top 25.

This is the 12th different season during which the Tigers have been ranked in the WBCA DII top 25 poll. FHSU has now spent at least one week in the coaches poll each of the last six seasons. The Tigers were most recently inside the top 25 last November (11/22/22) when they were slotted 23rd.

Three other MIAA programs are also in this week's coaches poll, including No. 3 Central Missouri, No. 23 Missouri Western and Pittsburg State in the receiving votes category. The UCM Jennies also third in the latest media poll, with the Gorillas also in the others receiving votes section. Missouri Western is not listed in the most recent media rankings.

The Tigers will open MIAA play this weekend on the road against Northeastern State (11/30, 5:30 p.m.) and Rogers State (12/2, 1:30 p.m.) before returning home to host three games in six days next week.
