Traditional Volga German heritage and home-cooked comfort food will take center stage this month as the St. Anthony’s Altar Society hosts its annual German Feast.

The event is set from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13 in the Schoenchen Community Center.

An Authentic German Menu will be cooked and served by members of the Altar Society. The hearty spread will feature traditional local favorites:

  1. Green bean dumpling and sauerkraut soup
  2. Creamed noodles and beans
  3. German sausage
  4. Fresh homemade bread
  5. Assorted desserts including pies, kuchens and cakes
  6. Tea and water included

Ticket and dining Information Both dine-in and to-go options will be available. Tickets can be purchased at the door on the day of the event.

  1. Adults & Children 9 and older: $15
  2. Children 8 and younger: Free

Community support and event extras 

All proceeds from the dinner directly support the Schoenchen Community Center, funding essential building repairs and ongoing maintenance.

In addition to the meal, the Schoenchen Knights of Columbus will host a 50/50 raffle.

Participants do not need to be present at the time of the drawing to win.V
