DODGE CITY – The Hays Larks avenged Saturday night’s home loss to Dodge City with a 9-3 non-league road win at Cavalier Field Sunday night. It’s just their second win in the last five games following a season-high eight-game winning streak.
The Larks raced out to an early 4-0 lead. Leo Jiminian hit a two-run homer two batters into the game. Jack Torosian added a two-run single in the third. After the A’s scored three unearned runs in the bottom of the third, the Larks answered with single runs in the fifth and sixth and three in the seventh.
Jackson Halter singled to left driving in Austen Jaslove to make it a 5-3 game in the fifth. Jaslove drove in a run with a single to center in the sixth. Hunter Rosson, Tanner Rice and Leo Jiminain all drove in runs in the third to put the game away.
Starting pitcher Caden Hare (1-1) allowed only one hit with two strikeouts and no walks over the first two innings and was awarded the win. Sam Hendon, Coby Grimsley and Brady Rose combine for five scoreless innings to close out the game.
Austen Jaslove had three hits and Jiminian drove in three runs.

The Larks are back in Dodge City for an RMBLS game on Tuesday then return home for a non-league game with Junction City on Wednesday.
