Two Hays churches will host Trunk or Treat events for children and their families, but on different nights.
First United Methodist Church, 305 W. Seventh, will have its annual Trunk or Treat from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29. The event will be held in the church parking lot off Eighth Street.
Matt Dumler, the church’s director of discipleship, said there will be lots of candy available for kids, and the Local Food Truck will be on site for those wishing to purchase dinner.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside the church, Dumler said.
North Oak Community Church, 3000 Oak St., will hold its Trunk or Treat from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, in the church parking lot.
Jill Goertzen, the church’s Administrative Assistant, said that the family-friendly event will feature games, candy for the kids, inflatables, and a free pulled pork dinner for all attendees.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside the church, Goertzen said.
