Ellis Co. restaurant and lodging inspections 8/24 ⁠– 8/30

Last week's inspection results from the Kansas Department of Agriculture:

Centennial Lanes - Aug. 25 - 2400 Vine - Hays

A routine inspection found one violation.

  1. In the refrigerated prep-table, there was one container of cut tomatoes dated 8/8/20, open cream cheese 8/8/20, and cut chicken 8/8/20.

Starbucks - Aug. 25 - 3126 Vine Ste. 100- Hays

A routine inspection found two violations.

  1. The person in charge was replacing the trash in the trash can then started to grab clean single-use cups. 
  2. No paper towels or other hand drying provisions at the kitchen handwashing sink.

Tractor Supply Co. - Aug. 25 - 235 48th - Hays

A routine inspection found no violations.

Whiskey Creek - Aug. 25 - 3203 Vine - Hays

A routine inspection found six violations.

  1. In the bar area, there was a container of Hornitos Reposado Teququla that had a flying insect present inside with the liquor. 
  2. In the produce walk-in cooler, there was an open container of raw bacon that was being stored on a wire rack directly above 20 lbs of covered butter. No evidence of leaking was observed. 
  3. In the produce walk-in cooler, there was an opened container of milk and a container of cream cheese with no dates of when they were opened. 
  4. In the produce walk-in cooler, there were two pans of BBQ Baked Beans with a date of 8-18-20. 
  5. In the dry storage area, there were 6 plastic food grade containers that had imperfections present along the base, top, and bottom of the containers. 
  6. In the banquet area, there was a spray bottle with a pinkish liquid with no labeling present.
