LOGAN COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just brfore 6:30p.m. Tuesday in Logan County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2025 Harley Davidson Road Glide Trike driven by Curtis D. Kooy, 74, Las Animas, Colorado, was northbound on U.S. 83. thirteen miles south of U.S. 40. Strong crosswinds caused motorcycle to cross the center line, enter the west ditch and up the embankment. The vehicle continued through the barbed wire fence and came to rest.
EMS transported Kooy and a passenger Katherine A.Esposito, 64, Phoenix, Arizona to the Logan County Hospital in Oakley. They were wearing helmets at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
