RUSSELL COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 9:30a.m. Tuesday in Russell County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Michael Maurice Dreiling, 76, Russell, was westbound on Interstate 70 one mile east of Russell.
Due to an unknown medical condition, the van crossed the median into the eastbound lane of travel, entered the south ditch and came to rest submerged in a creek.
EMS transported Dreiling to the Russell Regional Medical Center. He was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
