Despite going 3-0 and winning the Colby Orange and Black Classic, the Hays High boys (11-3) basketball team dropped two spots to No. 10 in the latest Kansas Basketball Coaches Association 5A rankings released Tuesday.
The Hays girls (13-1) remained third.
The Victoria boys (8-5) remained at No. 6 in 1A Division 2.
The Mid-Continent League has two teams ranked. Hoxie (13-0) jumped six spots to No. 2 in Class 2A and Oakley (10-2) returned to the rankings this week at No. 8.
The Quinter girls (9-2) moved up three spots to No. 7 in 1A Division 1. Wheatland-Grinnell (11-3) is ninth in 1A Division 2.
