HAYS ā Garden City scored in every inning and spoiled Senior Day for the Hays High softball team with a 13-3 run-rule win at Hays High School. The Buffaloes scored four in the first, two in the second, single runs in the third and fourth then five in the fifth.
The Indians scored two in the third on a Shae Augustine RBI double and Brynlee Rupp bunt single. They would get their other run on a Brynlee Brous single which scored Jaylee Summers.
The Indians committed five errors. Three of their six hits were for extra bases. Avery Raymer and A Kippes both had triples and Augustine added a double.
Summers allowed 13 runs (seven earned) on nine hits with four strikeouts and three walks over five innings and took the loss.
