Fort Hays State Men's Basketball is ranked No. 21 in the latest NABC Top 25 Poll, released on Tuesday (Mar. 1). The Tigers moved down a few slots in the rankings after a win over Missouri Western and a loss to fellow Top 25 dweller Northwest Missouri State last week. The Tigers were No. 18 in last week's poll. FHSU holds a record of 22-5 overall going into the MIAA Tournament this week in Kansas City.

Fort Hays State remains one of three teams from the MIAA and one of six from the NCAA Central Region in the Top 25 this week. Other MIAA schools include Northwest Missouri State (No. 15) and Central Oklahoma (No. 17). Three teams from the NSIC remain in the Top 25, which includes Augustana (No. 5), Minnesota Duluth (No. 12), and Upper Iowa (No. 13). Southeastern Oklahoma State and Washburn, also among Central Region teams, are among the receiving votes list.

The Tigers as the No. 3 seed in the MIAA Tournament will take on No. 6 seed Missouri Southern in the quarterfinals on Friday. The winner will move on to play either No. 2 seed Northwest Missouri State, No. 7 seed Missouri Western, or No. 10 seed Rogers State.

Fort Hays State has been in both Top 25 polls this season. The Tigers first appeared in the D2SIDA Top 25 earlier this season and reached as high as No. 22 in that poll. FHSU has now been in the NABC Top 25 for three straight weeks.
