KDOT announces approved March bids in northwestern Kansas

TOPEKA — The Kansas Department of Transportation announces approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects. The letting took place March 18, 2026, in Topeka. Some of the bids may include multiple projects that have been bundled based on proximity and type of work.

Area projects include

District Three — Northwest

Decatur -383-20 KA-7848-01 K-383, from the west city limits of Jennings east to the Decatur/Norton county line, milling and overlay, 7.3 miles, Bettis Asphalt & Construction Inc., Topeka, Kansas, $1,727,572.11.

District Five — South Central

Barton - 281-5 KA-6477-01 - U.S. 281, bridge #027 over Blood Creek Drainage located 4.27 miles northwest of the K-4/U.S. 281 east junction, bridge replacement, Reece Construction Company, Inc., Salina, Kansas, $946,717.15.

Rush - 4-83 KA-5736-01 - K-4: Bridge #020 over Sand Creek Drainage located 7.39 miles east of U.S. 183; bridge #021 over Walnut Creek Drainage located 9.08 miles east of U.S. 183; and bridge #022 over Local Road located 11.06 miles east of U.S. 183, bridge replacement, Reece Construction Company, Inc., Salina, Kansas, $7,242,875.13.

District Six — Southwest

Statewide- 106 KA-7642-01 - Routes: K-156 and U.S. 283 in Hodgeman, Ness, Pawnee, Ford and Finney counties, signing, Sign-Up LTD DBA Haren's Trees and Critters, Webster City, Iowa, $225,753.93.
