4 hospitalized in NW Kan. after SUV hydroplanes

THOMAS COUNTY—Four people were injured in an accident just before 11p.m. Wednesday in Thomas County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Dodge Durango driven by Quinton M. Reeh, 17, Oakley, was eastbound on Interstate 70. The driver  attempted to exit the interstate at the U.S. 83 exit.  The SUV hydroplaned struck a sign and then struck a tree just south of the exit ramp.

EMS transported the driver and passengers identified as 34-year-old Michael Kreuzer, 19-year-old Emery S. Wright both of Oakley and 41-year-old Heather D. Reeh of Colby to the Logan County Hospital. All four were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
