Lloyd Leroy Snook

Lloyd Leroy Snook, 72, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020, at his residence.

Leroy was born February 13, 1948, in Russell, Kansas, the son of Oscar M. and Beulah (Burke) Snook. He grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School. He then attended a tech school.

Leroy served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was stationed in Washington state.

Leroy was a lineman for the Russell Telephone Company for many years before his health required him to have a heart transplant in 2000. He was a member of the Russell V.F.W. Post #6240 and the American Legion Post #99. He enjoyed playing pool, visiting with friends and taking care of his pets.

Surviving family include his brothers, Dwane Snook (Wendy) of Montana, Chester Carter, Jr. of Coos Bay, Oregon and Daniel Snook (Dana) of Oregon; sister, Deborah Snook (Steve) of Russell, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dennis Snook.

A Memorial Service will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, who is in charge of these arrangements.
