Joel Mollohan, 70, Hays, died Friday, September 26, 2025 at his home.
He was born April 8, 1955 in Colony, Kansas the son of Robert V. and Joanna L. (Typer) Mollohan. In 1973, Joel graduated from Hays High School, and following high school he worked various jobs doing construction work, painting, and he was an oilfield roughneck. Joel also worked at Wolf Memorial Co., Waffle-Crete, and enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include his brother-in-law Roger Ross of Edmond, OK, two nieces, Leah Ross and husband Andrew Fiore of Prescott, AZ and Lacey Sudik and husband Cody of Yukon, OK, and two great nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert Mollohan, his mother Joanna Aubel, and his sister Sue Ross.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Brenda Rodger officiating.
