Carolyn Maurine Wurm was born on March 2, 1931, in Norton, KS to Virgil
and Merle (Cody) Nelson. She passed away March 4, 2022, in Hoxie, KS at
the age of 91.
Carolyn grew up in Oberlin and was a 1949 graduate of Decatur
Community High School. She married Allen “Bus” Wurm in 1949 in Oberlin.
Carolyn was a very caring and empathetic person. In her spare time, she
enjoyed crafts and taking care of animals.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen in
2012; sister, Marilyn Gilmer, and brother, Dennis Nelson. She is
survived by her son, Ward and granddaughter, Alicia Malnati.
Funeral service will be March 8, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Pauls Funeral
Home, Oberlin. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM on March 8,
2022 at the funeral home. Burial in Oberlin Cemetery.
