RUSSELL — Russell Regional Hospital announced via social media Thursday that six staff members have tested positive for COVID-19.

"As you are aware, there has recently been an increase in positive cases in Russell as well as the surrounding counties. Unfortunately, this has impacted Russell Regional Hospital," wrote Sharon Collins, hospital CEO. "In the last several days a number of our staff (6) have tested positive for COVID-19. All was maintained to a small single department except for 2 cases. I want to ensure you that all precautions have been taken with the individuals that tested positive."
