The Ellis County Health Department reported 15 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county since Wednesday.

There are now 219 active cases, including three active hospitalizations, and 452 recovered cases. The department also announced two additional deaths have been attributed to COVID-19, bring the total to three.

Since reporting began, there have been 674 cases of coronavirus in Ellis County. The seven-day percent of positive tests continued to fall to 14.7 percent.

Overall, 12.6 percent of the 5,211 total tests have returned positive for COVID-19.
